Clark, D.R.
CLARK, Daniel R. (1831 - 1895) was an American commercial photographer who photographed in Shanghai in 1874 or 1875 on his way back to America after photographing the Transit of Venus in December 1874 at Vladivostok. His Shanghai photographs were published in a stereoview series titled Asiatic and Tropical Views. They are exceptionally rare and this is one of just three China views published.
